From March 12 to March 25, Charlotte invites food enthusiasts to Savor Charlotte, a festival highlighting three James Beard-nominated food and beverage stars.

Chefs, bakers, and mixologists will offer special dishes with no price restrictions during this two-week event. The festival shows how far North Carolina's largest city has come as it continues to gain attention in the national food scene.

"We don't want to box them in with a price point or courses. We want them to showcase what they want to showcase," Laura White explained to Charlotte Today.

Food meets art at the Mint Museum's culinary tours on March 13 and 20. Visitors can explore gallery spaces while sampling dishes from leading chefs, all included with one "Taste of the Mint" ticket.

In a first-time collaboration, Custom Shop teams up with Restaurant Constance on March 18. These acclaimed restaurants will blend their cooking styles for a one-of-a-kind dinner menu.

Ready to boost your cooking game? Join hands-on classes led by experienced chefs. You'll learn new techniques while seeing local experts at work. See top chefs showcase their skills during daily demonstrations throughout the festival. These sessions offer an up-close view of professional techniques in action.

Previous food festivals drew huge crowds to the city. Now local officials are supporting more events that showcase hometown cooking talent. As Charlotte emerges as a food destination, critics nationwide continue to praise its restaurant scene.

Three local chefs landed on the James Beard nominee list, ranking them among the country's best. This recognition builds on previous accolades from the prestigious James Beard organization.

Visit the festival website to see the complete schedule of events. Book early — tickets are likely to sell out quickly.
