Catawba Nation to Begin Construction on $700M Casino Resort Near Charlotte

There's been a casino in North Carolina since 2021 in Kings Mountain off of Interstate 85 exit 5. It's called the Two Kings Casino which is operated by the Catawba Nation, who are a tribe based out of Rock Hill, South Carolina. It's been operated as a temporary one-level casino since it's been built. The first phase of the permanent 2 million square foot Catawba Two Kings Casino Resort will be opened at the beginning of 2026 according to tribe officials. It'll take 2 phases to complete the structure.

Construction on the new structure will begin on June 7 for the Permanent casino. It will be bringing in more than 2000 jobs for people around the area but not only that. I haven't been to the Casino in Kings Mountain but I do want to take a drive down there one day.
