Fitness Tips With B Notes: Hip Work
Time for some more fitness tips with your boy B Notes.
Are you wondering why you have lower back problems? It is super important that we are stretching these hip flexors and lemme tell you why. Tight hip flexors can lead to pain in the lumbar spine and an impairment in performance. Range of motion can be cut short due to not maximizing the hips and glute’s range of motion. Stretching is commonly used as a warm-up routine prior to physical activities, with the goal being to increase the range of motion. For me, I like to do my stretching after I work out where my muscles are already warm. Hip flexors increase flexibility as we age and also range of motion. If you are struggling with lower back pain, especially sciatica pain, these stretches help take the pain away from that sciatica nerve
As we age, mobility becomes more challenging in our day-to-day life. Hip flexors allow for greater mobility in the hips, which is crucial for movements such as walking, squatting, and lunging. By improving hip mobility, individuals can move more efficiently and with greater ease. Most importantly if you are active these exercises will reduce the risk of injury. Weak or tight hip flexors can contribute to a variety of injuries, including strains, sprains, and overuse injuries. By incorporating hip flexor exercises into a regular exercise routine, individuals can reduce the risk of these injuries by improving the strength and flexibility of the hip flexor muscles.

Stretches Demonstrated:
Deep lunge: The lunge exercise is a versatile and effective movement that targets multiple muscle groups simultaneously.
Frog pose: this stretch helps improve posture and involves opening up the hips and stretching the inner thighs.
Half-pigeon: This pose not only helps improve the range of motion but also has mental stimulation benefits. Half Pigeon Pose opens up the hips and it can sometimes lead to the release of stored emotions, promoting emotional release and relaxation.
Just a few of my favorites I do during active workouts.
