Here’s What Carolina’s Renaissance Fest Looks Like (Video)
You have probably been hearing a lot about the Carolina Renaissance Festival. It’s one of the largest Renaissance festivals in the country. If you are like me and have never been before, it’s not too late. Get a sneak peak of what my experience was like.
But prepare yourself – it’s a world of its own. According to the website, the Carolina Renaissance Festival sits on 325 acres of woodlands. It’s pretty big so be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. And the festival truly embraces the Renaissance theme. As you’ll see in the video, it’s a village of arts and crafts in an open-air Artisan market.
I even got into “character” so to speak and got dressed in a Renaissance-themed costume. It definitely makes for family fun and can satisfy the appetite of the most curious.
There is a caveat. The festival is only open on weekends. You can visit Saturdays and Sundays now through November 19, 2023. The gates are open from 9:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. – that’s rain or shine unless there is dangerous inclement weather.
