Young Thug Reportedly Granted Temporary Release To Mourn Late Sister
Young Thug was reportedly granted a temporary release from jail to mourn the death of his late older sister, Angela Grier. The announcement came from Dolly White, who is believed to be the mother of Thug’s daughter, Mari Mego.
“They let lil Jeff come see his sister,” White tweeted. Although several reports claim that he attended a private viewing of his late sister no official word from Thugger’s camp have confirmed this claim.
After a fan account tweeted that Thug attended the funeral, White wrote back that that claim was untrue. Thug’s sister, Angela Grier, died last month, according to White.

Thug has been incarcerated for almost a year as he awaits trial in the ongoing YSL RICO Case. He faces eight charges, including conspiracy to violate the RICO Act and two counts of participation in criminal street gang activity. Additionally, he is also facing multiple drug and weapons offenses.
Gunna has been released after he pleaded guilty to a racketeering conspiracy charge in a gang indictment that includes Young Thug and several members of Young Slime Life, we previously reported. He entered a negotiated plea, known as an Alford plea.
Shortly after sentencing, Gunna released a statement. “While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way,” the rapper said in a statement per WSBTV.
Jury selection is ongoing in the high-profile trial.
