I think if I had to be deserted on an island and I could only choose one food to eat forever, it would have to be pizza. What are the most popular pizza toppings in North Carolina and South Carolina? We have the answers right here. See if these are your favorites.

Seems I am not alone in my love of all things pizza. According to, How to Cook Recipes, 93% of people eat at least one piece of pizza every single month. That is just about all Americans! And there’s more, Americans consume 46 slices of pizza a year. That would have been my monthly quota in college.

The most popular pizza topping is pepperoni but not in North Carolina and South Carolina. Just give me lots of beef and cheese and mushrooms!! Mushrooms are the most popular topping in the Palmetto State and in North Carolina we love our olives the most. How about that? The 2022 Pizza Consumption Index, a study of the pizza preferences and eating habits of more than 12M U.S. adults, says Little Caesars is the most popular pizza chain. 16 states were included in the study. Godfathers and Domino’s came in second and third, respectively. Here is a breakdown of the top 5 spots for a slice (or two or three?) of pizza in each state.
