Charlotte’s Trendy South End Kicks Off Shop Small Saturdays
Let the holiday shopping begin! Many people are gearing up for the holiday season. And finding that some of the best places to shop are right in their backyard. Such is the case in Charlotte’s trendy neighborhood of South End.
Beginning November 26, holiday shoppers will be able to get into the holiday spirit during the 10th annual South End Shop Small Saturdays. Presented by Lowe’s, the program celebrates great local retail, and is an opportunity for visitors to explore retail and holiday experiences in South End.
For three weekends, the Shop Small holiday pop-up markets are planned. Look for these markets in or near the retail centers at Atherton, near Camden Road and at the Shops at Winnifred.
Saturday, November 26
- Atherton Mill: 8a – 3p at the South End Farmer’s Market, with 40+ local vendors
- Camden Road: 10a-5p, Camden Road street festival from Atherton Mill to the Park Ave., with 125+ local vendors
- Snap a pic with Santa outside of LilBelle, 12-3pm
- Enjoy live tunes from DJ America
- Winnifred Street: 10a-5p, street festival at The Winnifred, with 40+ local vendors
Saturday, December 3
- Atherton Mill: 8a – 1p at the South End Farmer’s Market, with 40+ local vendors
- Camden Road: 10a-5p, Camden Road street festival from East/West Blvd Station to the Park Ave., with 70+ local vendors
- Snap a pic with Santa outside of LilBelle, 12-3pm
- Enjoy live tunes from DJ America
- Winnifred Street: 10a-5p, street festival at The Winnifred, with 40+ local vendors
Saturday, December 10
- Atherton Mill: 8a – 1p at the South End Farmer’s Market, with 40+ local vendors
- Camden Road: 10a-5p, Camden Road street festival from Tremont Ave. to East/West Blvd Station, with 55+ local vendors
- Snap a pic with Santa outside of LilBelle, 12-3pm
- Enjoy live tunes from DJ America
- Winnifred Street: 10a-5p, street festival at The Winnifred, with 40+ local vendors
Applications for Pop-Up Markets
If you’d like to be a vendor at Shop Small Saturdays vendor spots are filling up! Currently there are no spots available at the South End Farmer’s Market, or the Camden Road street festival. However, applications for Shop Small Saturdays at The Winnifred are open. CLICK HERE to learn more about vending opportunities.
Streets Closed to Cars for Pop-up Holiday Markets
There will be street closures during Shop Small Saturday program. Look for streets to close along Camden Road and one block of Winnifred Street for the pop-up markets.

Saturday, December 3:
- Camden Road from East/West – Park Ave.

Blocks will be closed to cars from 7:00 am until 8:00 pm. Event hours will be 10:00 am – 5:00 pm on Camden Road and at Winnifred, and 8:00 am – 3:00 pm at Atherton.
