INGLEWOOD, CA - AUGUST 27: Nicki Minaj attends the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards at The Forum on August 27, 2017 in Inglewood, California.

Ahead of Nicki Minaj’s headlining performance at London’s Wireless Festival, the rapper decided to take some fan questions on Instagram Live where the Pink Friday rapper might have been trolling the Barbz.

“Am I pregnant?” she read one fan’s question out loud. “… Oh, I did mean to tweet this: ‘I’m not fat, y’all, I’m pregnant. Yeah, I meant to tell y’all, [but] I forgot.”

Fans immediately started flooding the comments section with congratulatory messages until the rapper decided to clean up her response.

She replied, “Am I pregnant? Oh, I did mean to tweet this: I’m not fat, y’all, I’m pregnant [laughs]. Oh wait. Did I say it wrong? I’m sorry. I think I said it wrong. I meant to say I’m not pregnant, I’m fat. But thanks, guys, for all the congratulatory messages.”

Nicki Minaj has a son whom she refers to as “Papa Bear” with her husband Kenneth Petty.

The couple has been in the spotlight ever since they tied the knot back in 2019, and they’ve gotten even more attention due to Petty’s legal trouble. About two decades before Petty and Nicki got together, he was convicted of first-degree attempted rape in 1995 and served four years in prison. More recently, the two were hit with allegations of harassment and intimidation from Jennifer Hough, the woman who accused Petty of attempting to rape her back in the 90s. After Hough dropped her lawsuit against the rapper, Petty was just sentenced Wednesday (July 6) to one year of home confinement and three years of probation after failing to register as a sex offender when he moved from New York to Los Angeles in 2019.
