Possible UFO Sighting In Charlotte North Carolina
I mean technically if we can’t identify it then it is an unidentified flying object or UFO. But was there a true UFO sighting in Charlotte this week? Some people on social media are debating a possible sighting in East Charlotte Monday around 2:20 pm.
The post first surfaced on Reddit. In the r/Charlotte forum, a user wrote: “Please tell me if anyone in the East Charlotte area saw a triangular-shaped UFO about an hour ago. It was drizzling and I was heading to 485. Saw it at the light by Big Al’s.”
The user however was unable to get a photo or video of the object. Some users offered explanations for what could have been seen, including two low-flying flights coming into CLT airport at a similar time. This was due to the severe weather that was in the area Monday. Others noted it could have been flyover practice for the Coca Cola 600 this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Another user commented that he “would have loved to have seen it”. An additional, rational explanation offered up was “When planes come in at a certain angle, they can look as if they are hovering or zipping straight up instead of forward. It’s weird.”
This isn’t the first UFO sighting in the Charlotte area. The National UFO Reporting Center (yeah that’s a thing) has multiple reports from North Carolina and the Charlotte area. Though this specific incident doesn’t seem to have been reported or at least entered into their system as of today.
