The statement went on to read, “We are proud to be a diverse community with residents and team members from all backgrounds.”  Foster says her daughter apologized to the staff and told them she’d stop twerking.

Besides that complaint, Foster said the concierge told her daughter she had too many guests by the pool. She says the complex is discriminating, saying there were no complaints when white residents had several guests as well. Foster admitted one of her daughter’s friends did curse at the concierge during the confrontation.

Foster says the apartment complex is making them out to be “unkempt and uncouth” and she says that is not the case. According to The Charlotte Observer, after Foster received her eviction notice, she hired a lawyer who told her to stay in her apartment until the complex’s deadline to contest it.
