A Suspect Had This Gun When He Tackled Dave Chapelle (Photo)
Los Angeles police still don’t know why a 22-year-old wannabe rapper rushed the stage and tackled comedian Dave Chappelle. But, they do have the weapon he had when he did it. They say Isaiah Lee jumped on the stage at the Hollywood Bowl holding a replica of a handgun.
The weapon was a little bizarre. It had a sharp knife on the end of the handgun that flicked out. Police say the suspect pointed it at Chappelle. The suspect knocked Chappelle down, but fortunately, Chappelle was able to quickly get back on his feet.
Several members of the audience captured video of the actual attack and Lee’s arrest. Lee is charged with assault with a deadly weapon over the attack on the comedian.
An arrest has been made in an incident where a comedian was attacked while on stage at the Hollywood Bowl. Isaiah Lee was charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon and bail is set at $30,000.
