Travis Scott didn't make an official Coachella appearance but according to E! News and TMZ he performed at a nearby afterparty. TMZ reports Scott arrived at a venue in La Quinta around 3 a.m. and played five of his own songs during a brief DJ set.

Scott was supposed to headline Coachella 2020 with Frank Ocean and Rage Against the Machine before it was canceled due to COVID-19. After the Astroworld tragedy, the Houston rapper was  dropped from the bill for this year's festival. His chance at redeeming himself on the Coachella stage this year was also taken back. He was set to join Kanye West on stage before the Donda rapper pulled out of the festival two weeks before it began.

This is only the second time the rapper performed since the Astroworld tragedy. He previously did a small set at an Oscars afterparty last month. It's possible that the rapper is getting ready for future performances as his long-awaited album Utopia might drop soon. Billboards surfaced across L.A. promoting the album earlier this month.
