Having Peace in the Storm
Storms can alter your life in an instant. Storms can be evening thunderstorms or spiritual dark seasons passing through. No matter the one at fault or the level of intensity, stay focused on God. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He’s always there. Rather than asking God to calm the storm. Ask God to give you the peace, thru it.
Matthew 8:26-27 “And he said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. And the men marveled, saying, what sort of man is this, that even winds and the sea obey him?”
This week’s word: Overcoming This week’s activity: Write an intimate prayer to God revealing your current mindset. Share your most vulnerable thoughts, fears, and feelings. Be real and true with God. Ask Him to show Himself in this current season of your life. Ask for the strength to overcome any anxiety and stress you may be fighting with. Writing down your prayer will give it clarity to your thoughts and circumstances, while keeping a record of how amazing our God works out our situations.
