North Carolina Student Gets Called On Stage By Singer Kehlani (Video)
From security work to singer, Josiah Russell was working security at the Dreamville Festival in Raleigh when he ended up singing on stage. It happened during the two-day music festival that featured more than 20 R&B and Hip-Hop artists. Singer Kehlani was one of them.
She says she overheard Russell singing backstage. She thought he had a great voice and invited him to come on stage. Of course, the 20-year-old North Carolina Central University (NCCU) junior couldn’t resist. He sang a snippet of a song by Musiq Soulchild. The crowd at Dorothea Dix Park went crazy with applause.
Kehlani shared Russell’s performance on Instagram. It’s now on Russell’s page and the video has more than 77,000 views.
