When you think about the people in the Bible it's easy to see they're are just as ordinary as you and me.  They're not rich, famous or powerful. God used people with normal jobs, and even some who were broken and messed up. Nothing can prohibit God from doing His work through you.  He is just looking for your YES.He chose a teenager from Nazareth. She was probably between 12-16 years of age from a tiny town of only 500. This storyline is so insignificant it's quoted in the Bible reading, "And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.” (John 1:45–46). This is Mary who gave birth to the Messiah.Jesus wasn't born in the lap of luxury.  Our God was born in a manger. Do you hear me? A manger where animals sleep. This is so small, normal and basic, but it doesn't mean God can't do anything with it.

  • God used a stuttering man to save 600,000 from slavery.
  • He chose a prostitute to spread the good news of Jesus Christ.
  • He allowed a prosecutor of Christian believers to actually become one of the strongest leaders to grow the church.
  • He turned a shepherd into a king.
  • He chose a normal fisherman to be one of Jesus' Disciple
  • He used a tax collector.

It may seem insignificant but God can do something SIGNIFICANT with anything. He is only looking for your YES. Isaiah 6:8, "Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me."This week's word: Significance This week's activity: Consider the areas in your life where you may be holding back from God. Maybe you feel less than or insignificant.  Spend time in the Bible this week reading stories of normal people like you and me.  Be encouraged at how God still was able to use them in such a powerful way.  Give yourself wholly and completely to God.  Say Yes to Him.Be Blessed.
