South Charlotte Shopping Center To Be Demolished
A south Charlotte shopping center is now scheduled to be demolished thanks to a fire. The fire broke out Wednesday night just before 9 pm at the shopping center at the 6300 block of Carmel Road. One person sustained life-threatening injuries in the blaze. Over 50 firefighters responded to the incident and were able to get it under control in about 40 minutes.
The estimated damages of the incident are $50,000 which is why the shopping center will be demolished. A google images search of the area shows that the shopping center was home to CharBar 7 as well as cleaners and shoe repair. Hopefully, the victim will recover fully.
