Remember playing outside as a kid? There was a rule in the neighborhood we all had to follow-- when the street lights came on it was time to go home.  I remember one time pushing the envelope a little bit because I wasn't ready to go in yet.  We all acted like we didn't notice the street lights until I heard a familiar sound.  My dad's whistle.  He would step on the porch and whistle for us.  I wish I could make the sound but hopefully you know what I'm talking about.  I knew this whistle all too well. No matter what I was doing, I knew it was time to say my goodbyes and run home immediately.I believe this is how we should know our heavenly Father.  We may go astray.  We may wonder off, but when He calls us, we know His voice and we come running. John 10: 27-28, "My sheep hear me, and I know them and they follow."I learned a cool lesson last week.  Back in the Bible days, when there were many shepherds and flock of sheep, each shepherd had their own call for their herd.  There could be thousands of sheep and shepherds, but if one shepherd called his flock only his sheep would come toward him.  How cool is that?!  This comes from the shepherd spending time with his sheep.  This comes from the sheep knowing undoubtedly that they are hearing is their shepherd.  Spend time with the Lord so when He reaches for you, there's no doubt its Him.   This week's phrase: Know His VoiceThis week's activity: Your challenge this week is to spend time with the Lord.  Be still in the Lord.  Set intentional prayer time with the Lord.  Just as you would spend time with family and friends, find this same joy in spending time with God.  Be Blessed.
