It’s only a week into 2022 and we’ve already lost a legend… Mr. Sidney Poitier. He was the first black person to win the academy award for best actor. He passed away at the age of 94. He’s done so much for blacks in film, television, and producing. He was bigger than an icon to the black community, he was royalty.

Rest easy sir.
