A Beloved Charlotte Gift Shop is Closing it’s Doors
It is sad to say, but another beloved Charlotte gift shop is closing its doors. If you have ever walked the streets of NoDa, I am sure you walked past or walked into the one and only Ruby’s Gift Store. Well, get your last fix of it because it will be no more very soon.
Ruby’s Gift Store, which has operated in NoDa for more than a decade, will close near the end of the month. The 1,800-square-foot shop at 3204 N. Davidson St. is closing on January 24, 2022. This comes from what the owner Patricia Snow.
Ruby’s Gift features handmade items by Charlotte-area artisans from art and pottery to glass and jewelry, plus home goods and accessories. Snow said to the Charlotte Observer, although the NoDa location in Charlotte’s Arts District is closing, Ruby’s is only “pausing.” Snow said she has the hope and intent of reopening at another location.
This is now the second gift shop with local items to be closing in the Charlotte area. In 2021, the gift shop Green with Envy in Plaza Midwood closed after more than 20 years.
