Surf City Brewery Wins Best Brewery In North Carolina Title

NC Tripping recently held their first reader-voted “Best of North Carolina” contest. One of the categories was the best brewery in North Carolina and a Topsail Island favorite Salty Turtle Beer Company came in first. Salty Turtle beat out heavy hitters such as Highland Brewing in Asheville.

The Salty Turtle Beer Company is owned and operated by former United States Marines Daniel Callender and Dean Kelley as well as Zack White. The venture began in 2017.

Salty Turtle Beer Company is located at 103 Triton Lane in Surf City, NC near Topsail Island. They are open Monday-Thursday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
