FBI Says To Check Phone Settings
I’m pretty much a fan of spies especially if they’re women. In my eyes, Public Affairs Specialist Shelley Lynch with the FBI Charlotte Division is not only smart but sassy. During the interview, the latest tip she shared was to go to my phone and find the settings icon. See all those Apps in your privacy settings? Why in the world would they be sitting there collecting all kinds of data during the day and late at night? For Android users, the procedure might be the same.
The following information I’ll share is not coming from the FBI, just things I’ve learned after buying too many Apps. If you have a Cleaning App to sweep your phone, that’s unneeded. Another one is Battery Saving Apps. I get it, we all want to save energy, but these Smart Phones we shell out hundreds of dollars to per month, already have a saving energy function. Another one is Antivirus Apps you’ve purchased for your phones, well that’s a waste as well unless you have the heavy-duty firewalls that Secret Service has on their devices.
