Naked Man Trying To Lure Teens To His Car In Charlotte Arrested
An arrest has been made following two incidents involving a naked man approaching teenage girls in the South Park/Myers Park area of Charlotte. In the alleged incidents the man is accused of trying to lure teenage girls to his car while naked.
The accused is Ronald Michael McLean, Sr., who is 71. McLean was arrested Wednesday in York County Wednesday following a warrant issued by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. He is being charged with indecent exposure as well as indecent liberties with a child. The charges follow reports made by parents that a naked man was trying to lure their teenage girls into his car. The incidents took place in the Barcley Downs neighborhood and Myers Park neighborhood of Charlotte.
According to WCNC three teens described the same individual driving the same vehicle trying to convince females to come close. Two of the girls claim the man was exposing himself as well. The first incident was reported on Sept. 6th with an additional incident being reported on Sept. 11th. The encounters were posted on Nextdoor and others reported seeing the same vehicle. One parent says her daughter was asked for directions by the man and he kept telling her to come closer until she realized he was naked and she took off.
If these allegations are true, which obviously everyone is innocent until proven guilty, this is beyond disturbing. I’m very glad he is off the street. The last thing we need is a naked man trying to approach underage girls in Charlotte.
Ronald Michael McLean Sr., DOB: 06/12/1950, has been charged as a suspect in an indecent exposure case involving a minor that occurred in the Myers Park area.
