It's been 80 years since Superman first appeared in the DC comic series. He's saved the world more than a few time, fought some of the baddest of the bad, but the NEW Superman is entering a totally new zone for him. The NEW Superman is bisexual.

That's right, this year  the Man of Steel will will enter a same-sex relationship. Meet Jon Kent - who is the son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane. According to the DC comic, in the fifth installment of the DC comic series "Superman: Son of Cal-El", the NEW Superman falls for a male reporter.

Kent has a relationship with Jay Nakamura who first appeared in the third issue as a support for Kent when things got too rough. Well, now they are lovers. You'll see the two share a kiss in the comic. Writers say they wanted 'Superman' as we know him to evolve.  Writer Glenn Weldon of NPR (National Public Radio) says a bisexual Superman is worth celebrating. And that he is not a one-dimensional characters, but rather "hero who has his own story."

Fans can read more about Kent's new romance when the fifth issue of "Superman: Son of Kal-El" is released on November 9.
