At first, I thought I was seeing things, but now it's apparent I am NOT! I DO see giant white bunnies in uptown Charlotte! And they are ART!
In fact, they are a part of the Charlotte SHOUT! Festival that didn't actually happen this year because of the pandemic. The festival, which is a celebration of art, music, food, and ideas was supposed to take place in Uptown Charlotte September 17 - October 3. Instead, it's been postponed to September 2022.
But, in the meantime, you can see the INTRUDE art installation promoting SHOUT! in First Ward Park. But, you'd better hurry! The bunnies are set to "hop away" October 12.
The festival is hosted each year by the Blumenthal Performing Arts and Charlotte Center City Partners.
