‘The Real’s’ Jeannie Mai Jenkins Is Pregnant With Her First Child
Congrats Jeannie Mai and Jeezy!
Jeannie Mai announced that she is pregnant with husband Jeezy’s child; it’s their first child together.
“Jeezy and I have been kind of saving this and hiding this for five months,” she told Women’s Health. “So, we’re relieved to finally share the news.”
She revealed the announcement on The Real talk show, “I can definitely say that our Real fam is growing, and it’s been really hard to keep all of these secrets for you guys because we’ve had so much to reveal here at the show, including the fact that I am pregnant!” the co-host said during the broadcast per PEOPLE.
The talk show host said that she suffered a miscarriage one month before her and Jeezy’s wedding in March. She also reflected on her previous notion of not wanting to have children before she fell in love with her husband.
“I wondered if I was being punished. I wondered if I’d jinxed myself or cursed myself. My entire life, I never wanted children. When I say never, I’m talking a hard-stop never,” she shared, adding, “Falling in love with Jeezy made me see life differently for myself. Our love is honest, pure and safe … something I hadn’t felt as a child.”
Jeezy is a father of three from a previous relationship and The Real co-host added that he is a wonderful father.
“Being a mom is hands down the hardest role in the entire world. Now that we’re bringing another Jenkins into the picture. I have no idea what to expect,” she says, adding of Jeezy per the outlet, “He’s an amazing dad, [and it] overwhelms me with even more love.”
