These Companies Are Hiring For The Holidays
The holidays are right around the corner and it’s no secret that many Americans are still out of work. The good news is there are plenty of companies already hiring for the holidays. A few are listed below.
UPS
UPS (UPS) is hiring 100,000 part and full-time seasonal workers to meet holiday delivery demand. Positions range from package handlers, drivers, and driver helpers. The helpers assist drivers on delivery routes.
UPS is raising hourly pay in some markets, with roles starting at $15 an hour. The company is also offering sign-on bonuses. And that’s not all. UPS says it will speed up application times for the holiday hires. They pledge to make offer for several roles within 30 minutes.
United States Postal Service (USPS)
The US Postal Service is bringing on more than 40,000 workers to handle mail and package deliveries during it’s busiest season. USPS is looking for mail carriers, mail handlers and drivers in cities and rural areas. It is holding some 60 job fairs around the country in which candidates can apply on site.
FedEx
FedEx plans to hire thousands of ground workers for their warehouse. Candidates will handle the massive number of packages expected to pass through the company’s warehouse. No experience is necessary. Benefits are offered.
Kohl’s
Kohl’s (KSS) plans to add 90,000 seasonal workers in stores and warehouses to meet customer demand. Something new this year; Kohl’s workers will be eligible to receive a bonus ranging from $100 to $400 for working through the holiday stretch.
Kohl’s is also hiring seasonal beauty advisors for Sephora mini-shops at 200 Kohl’s stores.
Michaels
Arts and crafts chain Michaels is adding more than 20,000 workers in stores and distribution centers. Michaels is offering competitive wages, flexible hours and a 30% discount to seasonal workers. With people spending more time at home because of the pandemic, Last year, the arts and crafts industry has grown 4.8% in 2020.

Tis the season to send flowers. 1-800-Flowers.com says it’ll hire more than 10,000 seasonal workers. The floral delivery retailer will hire employees to deliver food and gifts to customers from its brands. It is looking to fill full-time and part-time positions in the “high-volume areas” like gift assembly.
Ollie’s Bargain Outlet
Discount chain Ollie’s Bargain Outlet wants to add more than 3,000 workers for the holidays. CNN Business reports Ollie’s has opened more than 40 stores in the past year. So, the need for holiday workers is crucial. Ollie’s is hiring for store and warehouse positions. For the first time, Ollie’s will hold in-person hiring events.
