You may have already heard about Janet Jackson’s forthcoming documentary from Lifetime and A&E to celebrate the 40th anniversary of her first album, Janet Jackson. The self titled album was released in 1982 when she was just 16!
It was previously announced that filming on “JANET” had been under way for three years. But Jackson posted a one-minute trailer for JANET on social media and here’s a sneak peak at the two-night, four-hour documentary that’s set to air in January 2022, Jackson says: “This is my story, told by me, not through someone else’s eyes.”
Missy Elliott, Mariah Carey, Paula Abdul and more make brief appearances. Watch the JANET trailer below:
