Dr. Dre Sues Ex-Wife For Allegedly ‘Embezzling’ $350,000
Dr. Dre is suing his ex-wife, Nicole Young, for allegedly embezzling $350,000 from his recording studio in Sherman Oaks.
Per legal documents obtained by The Blast, a company was created in 2015 called “13849 Ventura, LLC” with the purpose of operating a recording studio. The documents state that the rap mogul and his ex-wife were listed to be involved in the “maintenance and control” of its assets.
According to the suit, the company claims that it “entrusted Nicole with the authority to draw checks and transfer funds for the business.” They also claim that Young “decimated the bank account and withdrew $353,571.85.”
Now, the rapper’s legal team is claiming that Young “egregiously” breached her fiduciary duties by “embezzling and stealing money from (the company’s) bank account, and using the money for her own, personal obligations.”
A source from The Blast claims that Young already returned the money which was taken out of the account while the couple was still married.
We previously reported that Dr. Dre has been ordered to pay Young $300,000 a month in spousal support.
The couple was married for 24 years and have two adult children, 24-year-old son Truice and 20-year-old daughter Truly.
