Walmart Is Hiring Permanent Full and Part-Time Positions Paying $20/Hour
Walmart lifted its mask requirements for fully vaccinated customers and employees.
If you’re in the job market, Walmart may have a job for you. The giant retailer is hiring 20,000 workers for its distribution and fulfillment centers.
Walmart says the positions are permanent jobs — not just seasonal help. The jobs are full-time and part-time roles. Positions include order fillers, freight handlers, lift drivers, technicians, and management positions. The average pay for its supply chain employees is $20.37 an hour.
Walmart executives say they are eager to fill those posts as the high demand for warehouse workers increases. Customers continue to order online, so that means retailers like Walmart need more bodies in the warehouses and logistics to meet the demand. According to a Walmart statement, Walmart is the nation’s largest private-sector employer with 1.6 million US workers as of January 31 this year.
Walmart will hold special hiring events on September 8 and 9 to fill these positions. And Walmart isn’t skimpy with incentives. Besides attractive pay, Walmart is offering benefits packages, that include free college tuition.
