I visited Ikea recently and tried out their famous Swedish meatballs. They serve them in their in-store cafeteria, but now I can take the smell of those meatballs home with me in a scented candle.
Yep, that's right the company known for its affordable and funky furniture and other home decor is now offering meatball-scented candles. It's actually part of a sweepstakes event for "Ikea Family" loyalty club members as the company celebrates the program's 10-year anniversary. If you sign up for the loyalty card, you might have a chance to win one of the Huvudroll meatball candles. The contest runs until August 22.
Clearly, those meatballs are a hot commodity. Ikea sells more than a billion of them a year. And Ikea officials say they are working on a plant-based meatball, too. Stay tuned for that!
