We are knee-deep in summer with one of the busiest beach weekends of the year just a few days ago. And you can't think beach for too long without thinking sharks. A new tv special airing tonight will focus on Myrtle Beach shark attacks. And chances are if you've spent much time in this area you've been to Myrtle Beach or one of the nearby beaches. The special is titled "When Sharks Attack: Deep Dives" and it airs at 8 pm on National Geographic.

The episode is entitled "4 Bites, 10 minutes" and is based on the events of June 14th, 2012 when 4 shark attacks occurred in a small area in just a ten-minute time span. In the episode, scientists attempt to discover what could have caused the spike in shark activity at that time.
