July Jamboree. Blackberry Ridge Farm, 14820 Beatties Ford Rd., Huntersville. 5-10 p.m. $5. Come for food, music, games, kids’ water activities, vendors, and beer for adults. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.
First Friday Movie at Victoria Yards: The Sandlot. Enjoy dinner, live music, and a movie! Starting at 8:15pm there there will be food trucks, alcoholic beverages, and music. Eat and entertain yourself until the movie starts at 8:45pm. Seating is extremely limited and attendees must follow CDC guidelines.
Fourth of July Celebration. U.S. National Whitewater Center, 5000 Whitewater Center Pkwy. 9:30 p.m. fireworks. Free, $6 for parking. Visit this outdoor oasis for yoga, live music, and fireworks on both Saturday and Sunday. Pass activities will also be available for purchase.
Frank Fest at Cabarrus Brewing Co. Join in for their 3rd Annual July 4th weekend, “Frank Fest”! A full weekend lined up full of food, brews, games and fun for the whole family! Live music all day! with Elonzo Wesley, and Josh Daniel & Friends, Hot Dog Eating Contest, Bear Creek Axe Throwing and more.
July 4th, 2021, is Free Fishing Day in North Carolina. Fish in any public body of water without a license. Other regulations, such as size limitations and lure restrictions, still apply. If you don’t have fishing equipment, many facilities operate a tackle loan program.
Birkdale Village Fourth of July Celebration. Birkdale Village, 8712 Lindholm St., Huntersville. 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Free. Arrive at 10 a.m. to decorate your bike for the bike parade, which begins at 11 a.m. The parade ends with block party that includes music, face painters, and family entertainment. The block party is from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.
