Price’s Chicken Coop Is Closing

Sad news this morning. One of Charlotte’s most famous spots Price’s Chicken Coop is closing. They took to Facebook to announce the news siting labor shortage, rising food costs, food qualify, and coin shortage. Saturday will be the final day they are open so make sure to swing by.
Price’s has been a SouthEnd (and well before it was the SouthEnd we know today) staple for 59 years. I’ve never seen it without a line out the door. I remember going with my dad as a child when I’d visit him at work. Such sad news, they will be sorely missed.
