Statesville Woman Wins Powerball With Her Own Numbers
A Statesville woman wins the Powerball! Tamathea Bustle of Statesville recently won $100,000 in the Powerball. She used her own set of numbers that she selected to win the prize. The ticket was purchased from the Kangaroo Express located at 131 Turnersbug Highway. Bustle purchased a $3 Power Play ticket and correctly matched 4 white balls as well as the Powerball. This won her $50,000 from the May 19th Powerball drawing. As if that wasn’t good enough the 2x multiplier was drawn which brought her total to $100,000.
After taxes that brought her total “take-home” amount to $70,751 which she claimed Friday in Raleigh. The odds of matching the numbers she did? Just 1 in 913,129. I’d call that a lucky day.
