A fire broke out Friday morning at an apartment complex in the 4600 block of Coronado Drive near Independence Blvd. The apartment complex fire, which took more than 4 dozen firefighters 40 minutes to control, is under investigation according to the Charlotte Fire Department.

Luckily no injuries were reported from the fire. However, it is estimated that damages exceed $425,000

Six units in the two-story apartment building were damaged. According to WSOC-TV, at least one person was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

The Red Cross is assisting families that have been displaced by the fire.
