Daytime TV Talk Show Host Wendy Williams got checked on her own show by none other than reality TV star Joseline Hernandez and I’m glad!! Wendy is notorious for being disrespectful, dismissive, and any other ‘d’ word that’s NOT complimentary.
She ‘tried it’ on her show when she introduced Hernandez, who calls herself the “Puerto Rican Princess” and who is known for wreaking havoc in the franchise show of “Love and Hip Hop – Atlanta.” She was an ex-stripper turned rapper, TV personality, and actress. She’s made a name for herself by BEING herself — unapologetically.
She’s suffered much pain, too – growing up in the slums of Puerto Rico. Her father died of a heroin overdose while she was a toddler. Her mom moved her and her four brothers to Florida for a better life. Hernandez started stripping at age 16 to support her family.
I blame Wendy for NOT being a professional, for NOT having compassion, for NOT giving Hernandez obviously what she needed. She needed to be heard. She needed to be valued.
Wendy could have squashed the entire exchange by simply ‘acknowledging’ her. That’s all she really wanted. What you DON’T do as a professional, is ignore your guest, antagonize them and then throw flowers at them.
Come on, Wendy! You’re supposed to be bigger than that! At the end of the day, I don’t care how big you get – number 1 show or not – it’s never okay to disrespect people. Period.
Maybe Joseline actually taught Wendy a lesson – treat people how you want to be treated.
