Community Feedback Needed For Charlotte’s Historic West End Neighborhood Mural
If you’ve ever wanted to have a say on some of Charlotte’s public artwork, here’s your chance. The Comprehensive Neighborhood Improvement Program (CNIP) wants your feedback on it’s latest project — a mural painting on West Trade Street underpass.
Artist Dyair has been selected to paint the mural entitled “Heritage of Biddleville.” It will chronicle the history, culture and academic legacy of Charlotte’s Historic West End Community. Here’s where you come in.
The artist would like community input regarding the concept proposal. You can participate and offer feedback by:
- Meet the Artist in-person (Mask and social distancing required)
Saturday, March 27, 11am – 1pm
Corner of Frazier Avenue and West Trade Street in front of Wilson Barber Shop (weather permitting) - Zoom meeting with the Artist
Tuesday, March 30 6:30pm

If you cannot attend either of those opportunities, you can still help. If you have original photographs of historical landmarks, events or notable community leaders you would like to see reflected in the mural, please feel share them with the artist at [email protected].
You can also participate by taking the FEEDBACK SURVEY.
