These 12 Fruits And Vegetables Have The Most Pesticides On The 2021 ‘Dirty Dozen’ List
Do you ever wonder just how clean your fresh veggies and fruits are? Well, wonder no more because the Agriculture Department has released a list of vegetables and fruits that have the most and least amount of pesticides according to the Environmental Working Group.
Let’s start with the bad news first…these are the veggies and fruits with the highest traces of pesticides.
MOST PESTICIDES (Dirty):
- strawberries
- spinach
- kale, collard, and mustard greens
- nectarines
- apples
- grapes
- cherries
- peaches
- pears
- bell and hot peppers
- celery
- tomatoes
LEAST PESTICIDES (Clean):
- sweet corn
- onions
- frozen peas
- eggplant
- asparagus
- broccoli
- cabbage
- cauliflower
- mushrooms
- pineapple
- papaya
- kiwi
- honeydew melon
- cantaloupe
- avocado
