| Although we cannot truly see the heart of others or ourselves, God always can. The Lord constantly gives us heart checks as we invite Him in to do the internal work in our lives. He guides us and convicts us. He loves us enough to show us our hearts and where we need to grow not to condemn us but as form of love. Sometimes we can operate out of insecurity, people-pleasing or pride. When we do operate from places that are outside of God’s character, others including ourselves run the risk of being hurt tremendously. The next time God extends to you a heart check, receive it from a place of gratitude. That He loves us enough to make us aware then begin changing that in which does not reflect him.
