Your Bucket List 2021
After going through the perils of being an essential worker or working from home for almost a year, your bucket list must be pretty big by now. Some mental stimulation from TikTok and YouTube videos do take our minds off the isolation. Pretty soon the warm sunshine will breakthrough and the possibility of snow will be the furthest from your mind. Instead of just hiding at home waiting for that juicy warm weather to return, take advantage of the change of season by creating a Winter Bucket List filled with cold-weather activities and fun things to do. Below are some great ideas to add to your list.
Make an outdoor bonfire. Cuddle up by the fire with a few friends and some warm blankets for an outdoor experience that’s as magical as it is cozy. Don’t forget the marshmallows and music for a fun and extra touch. Go for an evening walk. Some of the most beautiful skies can be seen during the winter, so why not grab the family or a friend and enjoy a brisk walk under the stars? You’ll sneak in some exercise and quality time with the people you love. Go ice skating. Grab your coat and scarf and head to your local ice skating pond or rink. Nothing says winter like a day spent outdoors enjoying the cold air and having a blast at the same time. Just be prepared to fall, too. Camp out in the Family Room. Move the furniture out of the way and set up a tent right in the middle of the room or make a giant fort like you did when you were younger. Then turn off all the lights and burn a few candles. Watch a movie and enjoy.
Have an Indoor Picnic. Picnics aren’t just for the outdoors—clear space and throw a large blanket onto the floor. Don’t forget some pillows too. Keep the food choices simple and focus on relaxation and chilling with your family or friends. Whatever you put on your list, just remember that fun is the number 1 objective.
