She's been off the musical scene for the last three years (last album "The Transition Of Mali"), but Jazmine Sullivan always comes back strong. The Philly native is getting us ready for her next project she's calling "Heaux Tales."

She took to YouTube to describe the meaning of "Heaux Tales."

Sullivan isn't just pushing a new sound, but a new look, too. If you haven't seen her lately she's 50 lbs. lighter. And no, it isn't because of any trendy diet. Instead, Sullivan has been on a vegan diet she says in support of her mother who is fighting cancer.

Apparently, several of her fans criticized her for looking 'sickly.' She says her goal was never to get 'skinny.' But, in the process of eating vegan with her mom, she lost weight, too. She adds, “I’m honestly a size 12. 180 lbs,” there’s nothing skinny about me but my neck.

Sullivan's "Heaux Tales" is  due January 8, 2021.
