The Park Church Celebrates the
30th Pastoral Anniversary of
Faithful, Fruitful and Forward-Looking Leadership
On Sunday, September 27, 2020, The Park Church will celebrate the 30th year (pastoral) anniversary of its visionary leader Bishop Claude Richard Alexander, Jr.
Since 1990, Alexander has led the church, helping it to grow from 600 members to its current membership of nearly 9,000 members. His leadership, gifted preaching and insightful teaching have made the church, known as “The Park,” a global ministry impacting Charlotte as well as the world. Both the church’s local and global communities will celebrate Alexander as a faithful, fruitful and forward-looking leader.
“It has been my honor to serve at The Park,” Alexander says. “Through these 30 years, I have seen God move in the lives of the community as well as the lives of people across the world. Since The Park’s beginning more than 100 years ago, we have sought to fulfill the Great Commission God calls all Christians to by saving souls for Christ through the preached and taught word of God. We have continued to expand and extend our reach and resources to help address the needs of our brothers and sisters locally, nationally as well as internationally.”
The 30th anniversary celebration will include a special drive-thru celebration, on Saturday, September 26th from 4:00 PM-5:00 PM at The Park Church Independence (800 Briar Creek Road). This will be a time for members of The Park to extend their love and appreciation to Alexander in a physically distant and responsible way.
