Park MGM To Reopen As Smoke-Free Casino
MGM Resorts announced Monday, September 14th, that when both the Park MGM and NoMad Las Vegas reopen, the hotels will comprise the first fully smoke-free resort which includes the casino the Las Vegas Strip. All I could think to myself when this was released was a big OH BOY.
Is this an end of an era? Due to COVID-19 and wearing masks, even Cherokee Casino in North, Carolina has implemented a no-smoking on the casino floor. As noted by CNN, “since the early days of Las Vegas, casino resorts have been synonymous with smoking — especially on the gaming floor.”
The pandemic closure gave the former Monte Carlo hotel a chance to redo carpet and wall coverings to give guests a totally new experience. Park MGM reopens for guests on September 30th, 2020. You can read more about this casino here.
