Tamar Braxton’s Boyfriend Files Restraining Order Against Singer
Tamar Braxton might be having trouble in paradise. The R&B singer’s boyfriend, David Adefeso recently filed a restraining order against the artist on Tuesday (Sept. 8) in Los Angeles, asking for protection against the 43-year-old singer and reality TV star, as TMZ reported.
However, it’s unclear what exactly Braxton might have done. Adefeso’s request has yet to be approved by the court. As we previously reported, the singer’s boyfriend was the person who dialed 911 after finding the songstress “unresponsive” at The Ritz-Carlton Residences in downtown LA after an apparent suicide attempt back in July.
Adefeso told law enforcement that Braxton might have overdosed on pills and alcohol. Braxton had reportedly been frustrated with her contract and how she was being portrayed on her forthcoming WE TV reality show Get Ya Life.
After being hospitalized, Braxton opened up for the first time since attempting to end her life. “My cry for help went totally ignored,” the singer wrote. “It was witnessing the slow death of the woman I became, that discouraged my will to fight. I felt like I was no longer living, I was existing for the purpose of a corporations gain and ratings, and that killed me.”
Braxton and Adefeso began dating following her separation from ex-husband Vincent Herbert during summer 2018. “He’s so smart. I’m so proud of him,” Braxton told Wendy Williams in September of 2018. “He’s so amazing, he’s so kind, and he’s saved.”
Family sources have told the gossip publication that Braxton has changed since she’s started dating Adefeso and that “her mood seems to align with his.” Braxton’s boyfriend has reportedly been vastly involved in her now-defunct reality show and her business moves.
