This NC City Was Named One of Worst For Potential Worker Burnout
Job burnout can be defined as a special type of work-related stress – a state of physical or emotional exhaustion that also involves a sense of reduced accomplishment and loss of personal identity.
Sounds awful right? Sadly, more people probably experience this at some point versus people who have never felt it.
We always like when we make lists…when they’re good lists, but Charlotte just tied at #10 on a list of places where employees face the highest possibility of exhaustion, according to results released recently from SmartAsset.
To come up with its findings, SmartAsset (personal finance website) says it examined data from the Census Bureau from the 100 most populated cities in the nation. Analysts then weighed the average number of weeks and hours worked each year, the portion of workers with more than an hour-long commute, and housing costs in comparison to income.
The data for Charlotte showed that on average people work “35 hours per week for 51 weeks.”
