A Breakdown of the $2M/Month Spousal Support Requested By Dr. Dre’s Wife
The ongoing divorce proceedings of Dr. Dre and Nicole Young made headlines earlier this week when Young filed for temporary spousal support of nearly $2 million per month.
TMZ first reported that story and now the gossip site is detailing the breakdown of how Young’s $2 million/month request would be spent. The support per documents obtained by TMZ would be spent as follows:
-Laundry and cleaning: $10,000/month
-Clothes: $135,000/month
-Education (tuition and living expenses): $60,000/month
-Entertainment: $900,000/month
-Charitable contributions: $125,000/month
-Mortgage: $100,000/month
-Telephone, cell phone, e-mail: $20,000/month
TMZ notes the legal docs state Young’s monthly expenses actually total $2,530,000, so technically her requested $1,936,399/month is below her average monthly expenses.
In addition to monetary details, the documents Young filed also state that Dre has been limiting Young’s spending during the divorce process, including denying her use of her AmEx Black card.
Young’s documents also detail claims of domestic violence, including an April 1 verbal incident while Dre was allegedly drunk where he told her, “Do not spend one more cent … period. You can’t be mean and disrespectful and spend my hard-earned money. F— that! Yes, that’s a threat … I’m putting the beach house up for sale next week…”
