I’m really into fragrances like my fav is Killian Good Girl Gone Bad or Tom Ford’s Noir de Noir..however there’s a new fragrance I’m interested in trying. It smells like space – literally.

If you've ever wondered what 'space' smells like, I would imagine it's a fragrance that is out of this world! (Ok, corny joke) But, there is a new scent that a scientist working for NASA has developed and it smells just like space - though astronauts have described the fragrance smells like a mix of gunpowder, seared steak, raspberries and rum.

Steve Pearce developed the new fragrance called Eau de Space. NASA contracted him to develop it and it took him 4 years do it. The fragrance was created initially to help astronauts train before launching in orbit. It was part of NASA's goal to eliminate any potential surprises astronauts may encounter or experience while in space.

NASA now says the main goal of Eau de Space is to increase interest in STEM  for students K-12.

The word is the fragrance actually smells bitter, smoky and burned. Hey, I like warm and spicy fragrances, so maybe I'll need to add Eau de Space to my collection.
