The Music Industry Is Planning “Black Out Tuesday” To Show Solidarity
The music industry is uniting on Tuesday, June 2nd, to show solidarity with black communities. This comes after days of nationwide protests on police brutality after the death of George Floyd. Record labels have all taken to social media to announce “Black Out Tuesday.” According to their Instagram posts, this will be a day assigned for unity with black employees, artists, and fans to evaluate ways to move forward together.
Not only will the companies make donations to organizations fighting against racial injustice, but they will also take the day to discuss future changes within the industry.
