On Wednesday (May 5), both Erykah Badu and Jill Scott took to social media to tease their “Verzuz” battle that takes place on Instagram Live on Saturday (May 9).

Badu and Scott shared a video of the two singers singing each other’s songs. “And THE CULTURE WINS!!!!,” Scott wrote in the caption of her post with the video on Instagram. “There’s power in coming TOGETHER. 4realdow”

“Badu [heart emoji]  Jill Scott ..another win for the culture,” Badu wrote in the caption of her post. The Dallas native appeared in the video first singing a few lyrics from Scott’s hit song “The Way.”

However, when Badu sang Scott’s song her vocals were sped up and so were Scott’s as she sang pieces of Badu’s songs.

Scott appeared in the video second, singing part of Badu’s fan-favorite “Other Side of the Game,” before Badu appeared again singing another one of Scott’s songs.

The two continued to sing parts of each other’s songs throughout the video.
