Beginning 8am Thursday (March 26, 2020), only essential travel will be allowed in Mecklenburg County. This Stay At Home Proclamation was ordered by the county to help reduce the cases of the coronavirus in the area.

The order will remain in effect until April 16, 2020. And Charlotte-Mecklenburg police plan to enforce the order.
